Finishing touches

We are getting close to getting the last of the baby things done before she arrives. This past weekend Neil was making the baby's dresser/changing table. He only has the drawers to do and then paint it and he will be done. Then he is going to do her shelves for her room. This weekend I finished her announcments, and did some nic-nakey things for her room.

You can tell its getting closer to spring, everyone is talking about getting out on their bikes. Getting the new bike for the summer and all their new gear. I can't wait till its warm and we can get out on the bikes. We need to get Keenan a helmet for the burly now that he is old enough to ride in one with out the carseat.

Keenan's favorite new game is taking all of his toys that can fit through the baby gate and send them down the stairs. So Neil and I every night have to go down stairs and pick up the toys he has thrown down.

Cycle-Frost

I needed some motivation to get on the bike and ride this winter so I signed up for the Cycle-frost race when it was first anounced. I have been doing just about all my riding outside throughout the winter...which proved to be advantagous for the race. After a couple pre-ride laps we lined up for the quick 30 minute race. We had about 30 yards off the line before the course narrowed for the first set of barriers. I got the holeshot so I didn't have to worry about tripping over people. By the first lap I opened up a 75ft. gap which kept growing for the entire race. It was a lot of fun to have a number back on the bike and hopefully this will give me some motivation to keep training through the rest of the winter and get ready for the summer.

The count down

Well I have 4 weeks left. Things are going really good with the baby, she is healthy and growing, but for me I am getting more and more uncomfortable. Its amazing how quickly you forget the last month of pregnancy. It wasn't that long ago when I was going through this for the first time. This weekend I made up a list of things that I need to get her before she arrives there not crucial items, but it definitely helps to have them here and ready.

Neil wasn't able to get out on Saturday for a ride, but made it out on Sunday. He has been getting a lot of time on the bike the last month, which I love to see, he is just so happy to get on his bike and go for a ride. Neil and I are both getting antsy to get on the bikes this summer. We are hoping to do some races this year, WEMS and WORS. It will be fun to pack up all the kids and go biking for the day.

This was taken a couple weeks ago when it was fridged out.
